USDA Invests $665 Million in 奖助金 to Provide Relief to Farm and Food Workers Impacted by COVID-19

Receiving support from a technical assistance provider does not impact an application’s competitive standing in the USDA AMS panel review process nor does it improve an applicant’s chances of being selected for an FFWR grant award.

Which Organizations Can Apply for the Grant?

Eligible grant recipients include state agencies, 部落的实体 and non-profit (501c) organizations with experience providing support or relief services to farm, 肉类加工业, 或者杂货店的工作人员. These services include: distributing personal protective equipment; hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic or outreach campaign; and/or providing financial support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

What is the Duration of the Grant?

This grant will operate on a two-year period of performance (2022-2024).

How Much Grant Funding Will Be Awarded?

Anywhere from $5 million -$50 million will be awarded per organization, depending on reach and need. Applicants may request more than $50,000,000 if the organization can demonstrate they are a national organization with the capacity to deliver funds in excess of $50,000,000 across multiple states and in partnership with smaller farmworker or 肉类加工业 worker organizations. At least 80% of the grant funds awarded must be provided as disaster relief payments.

Grant recipients will distribute $600 in relief funds to farm workers, 肉类加工业工人, and/或者杂货店的工作人员 (i.e. beneficiaries), to defray costs associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
